VicenzaOro Bulletin 5

I conclude my reporting from Vicenza Fair with a short focus on Cervera, a Spanish brand that I follow with interest since a few editions. Their collections are always contemporary and in line with the jewelry trend evolution: extremely wearable pieces, warm and feminine shades of colors, in a nut shell pret-à-porter jewelry.

twisted3Cervera is a rather young brand, founded in 1994 by Xavier Cervera. Son of a chemical entrepreneur, Xavier shows since  his childhood a strong aesthetical sense; it is thanks to his uncle, a jeweler, that he is able to make is passion into an activity. After gemmological studies and a few experiences working for some jewelry companies, Xavier establishes Cervera, a brand that is nowadays synonimous with high quality and elegant jewelry, hand made pieces, where the attention is put on to every single detail.

The re-interpretation of classical codes into contemporary lines represents Cervera’s strenght. Every single pieces carries Xavier’s emotions, carefully evolved into a contemporary lifestyle. Stones and materials are carefully selected, details are excellent: looking at the collections everything merges into a magical, feminine world. The pieces are wearable and at the same time with strong references to the classical codes but always with a bit of irony and a glance to fashion. Cervera is distributed in Europe, America and Asia.

Thank you for having followed me in these “Bulletins”. At the Fair, I could find interesting inputs for my future work. I met charming people, full of enthusiasm for their work and I thank them for the time they shared with me as well as for the material they have given me for my articles.

VicenzaOro ends with a small sense of optimism from the exhibitors. A lot of international buyers, a lot of curiosity towards our made in Italy and not, a lot of energy. Let’s hope that these signals will continue and that for the jewelry world a glamorous time has started.
