Fair can reserve unexpected surprises but sometimes you need to leave the old way to take a new one….why do I say that? Because yesterday, after a long day at the Fair, tired, with my eyes full of jewelry images that at that time of the day were becoming repetitive, I went out and drew to Relais Ca’Muse where SwarovskiGem was presenting their latest novelties when it comes to stones. Why confining  in a small stand the multiple usage opportunities of SwarovskiGem stones(not to be confused with Swarovski Crystal Elements)? This year, the Austrian Company has decided to reserve this special treat to their customers, hosting them in the magical setting of Cà Muse, once a farm, today a charming and sophisticated resort  only fifteen minutes away from the Fair.

Welcomed by the Company team, we have started our tour with the presentation by the creative group “See the unseen”: young “scientists” that, thanks to their researches and discoveries in the area of new materials and how they react to external agents, have now established a company that works in tight connection with fashion and accessories brands. The brief given by SwarovskiGem is exactly the one to come up with new applications, new ideas to use stones in order to approach the stone universe to nature and its evolution.

We were then able to see “the work in progress” of the application of a special material to the stones. These stones have been applied on a head ornament and they should change color according to the heath that head produces in the different areas….it seems magical but the ladies from “See the unseen” seem to know what they are doing… Afterwards, we enjoyed the trend presentation for 2015: an intense image journey through the company forecast for the jewelry world. Swarovski publishes every year  Gem Vision that with this edition celebrates the 11 th birthday.

Dulcis in fundo, the practical trial on stone applications using the existing techniques and the new developments…it all nicely ended up with a wonderful aperitif in the  magical setting of the Relais….What to say? Swarovski is always ahead in their business vision and in the way to attract the attention of their clients, being producers or final consumers….well done!
