TEACHING

Teaching that connects generations

I believe teaching is not only about sharing expertise, it’s about staying attuned to the evolution of the industry through the fresh perspectives of younger generations. My classroom is a mirror: while I bring strategic and creative knowledge shaped by decades in the industry, my students reflect the cultural, generational, and global shifts shaping the future.

Whether I’m leading a workshop, giving a guest lecture, or offering one-to-one coaching, my goal is always the same: to help students develop a global perspective grounded in industry reality. I encourage critical thinking rooted in history, a sharp awareness of what’s happening today, and a keen eye towards what’s coming next.

Professor Zappieri has singlehandedly transformed my innocent interest of fashion into serious career ambitions thanks to her poise, graceful teaching skills and keen eye for style and design. She truly is a great source for understanding the logistics of a complex industry.

The world is a classroom

I teach in English and French to international student groups across Geneva, Milan, and beyond. My courses combine theory with practical, business-oriented learning. This includes trend research, pricing strategy, collection structure, and hands-on prototyping. I also lead company workshops to help brands develop market-ready fine jewelry concepts.

Donatella was my workshop teacher during one semester at HEAD. Coming from fine art studies, Donatella introduced me to the jewelry creative design process with a beautiful energy and such positivity. She had the ability to make the work look easy and the challenges doable. She managed to take and develop the best of each of the students. I really learned a lot from her and I still focus on the importance of spontaneity and pleasure in creation that she taught me.
