The jewelry word: realtà in evoluzione ricca di contaminazioni culturali…

“Incastonando idee” is not only a window on what I like but it is a precise and careful eye on what happens in the jewellery and fashion world. The line between these two worlds is more and more subtle. In the last weeks, the 27th edition of Salon des Antiquaires was on in Paris and the most important fine jewellery brands showed their new collections there. Wonderful, precious, opulent pieces inspired by the runaways but, at the same time, new sources of inspiration for the trends to come. Ears and hands are more and more the focus to wear jewellery. Piaget introduces a single earring in marquise and carré diamonds, homage to manufacturing and perfect proportions.

Casato just presented in Vicenza the evolution of Daphne collection, a bracelet/ring in diamond and yellow gold. This trend was already spotted on Repossi collections and the launch of “falangine”.

From New York runaways, Ralph Laurent presents colourful and dangling lovely necklaces and chandelier earrings. A sign that colour and the beauty of precious and non precious stones will be one of the hero trends.

Not only mega pieces but also minimal looks and a glance to good luck symbols as well as tales in the mood of what Hermès presented on the photos and video signed by Olivia Bee and the return to Fairy tale.

Young designers interpret this trend and Vicenza already showed this mood that I am sure will be continued at Première Classe in Paris. Contamination is becoming more and more interesting and journeys and observation will be for me the best “thermometer “to capture the changes and the trend evolution.
